Miami Beach: Let’s go to make sport.

Fishing
You can fish the bay waters from causeways and bridges where catwalks are provided, or cast your line into the Atlantic from beaches or piers like the popular ones at Haulover Beach Park and Sunny Isles. In Sunny Isles you can find some of the best Hotels in Miami Beach as the Trump International and the super spa Acqualina Resort & Spa.

As for deep-sea fishing, you can charter a private boat or join a group of fishermen on a “party boat” for a reasonable fee per person (rods provided for a small extra charge). For the names of charter companies, private and group, look in the Yellow Pages under “Fishing Parties”. Here in InsideMiamiBeach.com we have boat but not really for fishing.

Other Sports
There are endless possibilities for active participation throughout the year in Miami.

Golf
The municipalities and Dade County Parks and Recreation Department alike maintain a number of popular public courses, including the scenic Key Biscayne voted Florida’s best public course. Certain clubs, like the famous Doral, open heir greens to non-members. Although not every hotel has a course of its own, many can arrange for their guests to play it a private club.

If you are located in some of our Hotels in Miami Beach, we suggest the panoramic Miami Beach Golf Club located in front of the Miami’s Convention Center, just behind the Public Market.

Tennis
With more than 400 courts in the metropolitan area. Miami is indeed tennis country. Apart from all the Hotel courts, you can play at any of a number of public tennis centres, including Flamingo Park in the Art Deco District – just few steps from Espanola Way –and North Shore Open Space Park.

Cycling
More than 130 miles of paved bike paths make the going good in Miami and South Beach. You can sightsee by bike on Key Biscayne, where shady paths cross the island. Ride out to Fairchild Tropical Garden or the Parrot Jungle from Coconut Grove along the banyan-lined path that parallels Old Cutler Road. Or combine birdwatching and bike riding at Shark Valley in the glades.

If you need to rent a bike and you located in some of our Hotels i South Beach, you can find a bike rental in the 5th and Washington Avenue. Just turn right at the end of Washington. If you have a plan to stay in South Beach for a week or more, it’s cheaper to rent for long period that day by day. Please recover the bikes in rooms or inside the Hotel during the night.

Jogging
Depend if you are romantic, if you wont to be alone, if you like to do it close to the sea. If you are this person, you can do it in a park – David Kennedy in the Grove is a local favourite – barefoot on the beach or, if you don’t want to get you toes wet and you feel sparkling and love to be in the middle of the most crazy street of the world, there is no any doubt: you can do it along Miami Beach Ocean Drive!

Hiking
Everglades National Park is the place to go. Join a group or strike out on your own. Ask at the Visitor Centre about nature trails an back-country destinations. Please take care about you if you go alone.

Hunting
Turkey shoots are a Coopertown speciality. So is frogging, strictly a nighttime occupation. The Kennons will provide you with a gig, head lamp and their considerable expertise.
